Lead, Change

Turnover is expensive. But as a leader, how can you lower turnover?

Create an inclusion organization!

Inclusive organizations create an environment where employees feel safe, respected and valued. This increases engagement and decreases turnover according to Bernardo Ferdman.

Six ways to create an inclusive organization:

  1. Foster transparent decision-making

  2. Understand and engage with resistance

  3. Understand and talk about how inclusion connects to the mission and vision

  4. Hold yourself and others accountable for creating an inclusive culture

  5. Invite engagement and dialogue

  6. Model bringing one's whole self to work (not hiding who you really are), and give permission for and encourage others to do so
